Dr. Denton moved to Colorado from Boston but is originally from Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2010 and has special interests in preventive care and internal medicine. In her free time, Dr. Denton enjoys sewing and reading. She lives in Castle Rock with her husband, daughter, shepherd mix named Roxie, and orange tabby, Otto.

Dr. Alison Traylor
Veterinarian
Dr. Traylor received her degrees at Colorado State University with a B.S. in 2003, a M.S. in 2004, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Originally from Canada, she grew up in Colorado and loves all that this state has to offer. She is interested in pain management, physical therapy/rehabilitation, cytology, and supporting the human-animal bond – as we all know how important and powerful pets are in our lives. Dr. Traylor is married and has 2 cats and 2 dogs, all rescue animals. When not working, she enjoys cooking (and eating!), spending time with her dogs, camping, skiing, and painting. She is also developing a virtual microscopy training tool with her husband that helps with teaching microscope based topics to veterinary technician students. Dr. Traylor looks forward to meeting you and your pet!

Dr. Jazmin Nunez-Mikulin
Veterinarian
Dr. Jazmin Nunez-Mikulin relocated from Houston, Texas. She graduated from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena (UNPHU), Dominican Republic as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Banfield in 2014 and has two mixed-breed dogs, Lobo and Teddy. When not at work, Dr. Nunez-Mikulin enjoys spending time with her husband, Matthew, exploring Colorado.

Veterinarian
Dr. Cole graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her areas of interest include dermatology, cardiology, preventive care, and exotic pet medicine. She is originally from Colorado, and recently moved back here with her fiancé, their two dogs, and a cat. In her spare time, she loves to hike, practice piano and guitar, and spend time with family.

Dr. Chase Kohne
Veterinarian
Dr. Chase Kohne was born and raised on a farm in Indiana. He graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and then completed an equine surgical internship at Washington State University. Dr. Kohne's first job was in South Carolina but he missed the mountains from his time in Washington, so he moved west and worked in New Mexico and Utah for the next several years. Dr. Kohne has 12+ years of experience and specializes in surgery. He lives in Castle Rock with his family, and also serves in the United States Army Reserves and continues to work part-time as a horse veterinarian. Dr. Kohne enjoys running, mountain biking, and watching sports in his spare time. He is trying to become a fly fisherman as well. Dr. Kohne is happy to call Colorado home.

Dr. Megan Tracewell
Veterinarian
Dr. Tracewell was born and raised in Colorado. She completed her undergraduate studies in San Diego and went to UC Davis for veterinary school. Dr. Tracewell has professional interests in anesthesia and soft tissue surgery. She lives in Castle Rock with her husband and two kitties, Colo and Nanook, and she enjoys crafting, sewing, and watching movies and television in her free time. Dr. Tracewell also LOVES Disney and chocolate covered strawberries!

Dr. Natalie Dennis
Veterinarian
Dr. Dennis grew up in Minnesota before moving to Tennessee for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from veterinary school at St. Matthews University on the British West Indian island of Grand Cayman, and finished her final year of clinical work at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Her areas of interest include anesthesia and pain management, animal welfare, and oncology. In her free time, Dr. Dennis enjoys music and art, collaborating with shelters and humane societies, snowboarding, and being outdoors. She has two rescue dogs, a bluetick coonhound (Bruce) and a doberman mix (Dixie) along with two spoiled Caribbean cats (Electra and Charlie Crow), and a rabbit (Dexter).

Alex has been with Banfield since 2010 and has worked in various roles while on his road to becoming Practice Manager. Working with aggressive and nervous pets is his absolute favorite thing to do. Outside of work, he loves to play basketball and has an Aussie/Collie mix named Fury. He is a Colorado native and will probably never leave.

Renee has been with Banfield for almost 12 years. She started her internship at the Park Meadows location in March of 2005 and was hired from there. She has been married to her husband, Rich, for 8 years and they have two beautiful kids, Noah, who is almost 6, and Makayla, who is 3. Renee also has 3 dogs, Jasmine, a 14-year-old sheltie, Chip, a 1-year-old cavachon, and Chase, a 6-month-old Heinz 57. She loves what she does here at Banfield, as well as the flexibility it gives her to be a wife and mom!

Leigha was born in Alaska and spent most of her life in Michigan. She moved to Colorado in 2010 and attended Lamar Community College for horse training and business management. Shortly after finishing at Lamar CC, she attended The Bel-Rea Institute to become a veterinary technician. She has been with Banfield Park Meadows since 2012 but left briefly to pursue a career in an equine intensive care unit and emergency care practice. Leigha loves horseback riding, hiking, and snowboarding, and has 2 horses, 1 Australian cattle dog, and 2 cats.
