Dr. Charity Corning
Veterinarian
Dr. Charity Corning graduated from Colorado State University in 2009. She was in general practice just after vet school, then she managed and practiced in emergency medicine for several years until relocating to Grand Junction in the spring of 2019. She loves the Grand Valley and is very happy to be here. She has two cats that keep her company at home, Orian and Holly.

Dr. Yanina Mickelsen
Chief of Staff
Dr. Mickelsen graduated veterinary school from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia in 2007. She practiced in Moab, Utah in a mixed animal practice prior to moving to Grand Junction. She has been with Banfield since 2010 and is currently the Chief of Staff.

Dr. Shannon Karbs
Veterinarian
Dr. Karbs was born and raised in Wyoming, where she developed a love for animals. She knew she either wanted to be a veterinarian or a jockey when she grew up. She earned her undergraduate degree in microbiology at CSU in 2005 and continued into veterinary school at CSU graduating in 2009. Needing a change in scenery and a break from the snow, she moved to Mesa, Arizona to practice for almost 8 years. She is now back in Colorado and loving the western slope. Dr. Karbs has been with Banfield for the past 6 years. She has 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a wonderful husband and daughter. In her free time, Dr. Karbs loves hiking, running, reading, and hanging out with her family.

Dr. Megan Riveros
Veterinarian
Dr. Megan Riveros was born and raised in Southern California where she fell in love with animals big and small. She earned her undergraduate degree in animal science at CSU in 2014 and completed her veterinary degree in May 2018 at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. She recently relocated to the western slope with her husband and is excited to join the team at Banfield Pet Hospital. On her days off, she enjoys hitting the gym or reading a good book. She is excited to be able practice companion animal medicine and share her passion for quality health care and supporting the human-animal bond by caring for pets of the Grand Valley and surrounding areas. She is currently working towards Fear Free certification to better serve you and your pet.

Stacie is a proud native of New Jersey. She received a B.S. degree in animal science from the University of Tennessee. She moved to Western Colorado with her family in 2012. Outside of work, she enjoys running and spending time with her 3 kids.

Miranda Schroeder, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Miranda has been in the veterinary field since 2010. She graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster College in 2014. Her passion for animals and helping people who love animals drew her to veterinary medicine after working in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. When she isn't working, Miranda enjoys traveling, scuba diving, snowmobiling, and spending time with her family and pets. She has 2 pit bulls, Skylee, Stallone a blue heeler named Sydney, and 2 horses, Jewel and Bonita.

Jenni has been part of the Banfield family since May 2007. She is a Colorado native and has lived in Grand Junction since 1992. Jenni earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Mesa State College (Colorado Mesa University) in 2011. She has always loved animals and doesn’t remember a time when there wasn’t a pet of some kind in the house. On her days off, Jenni enjoys spending time with her family.

Misty Roller
Shift Lead
Misty is a graduate of Mesa State College and has a bachelor's degree in business management and an associate's degree in business administration. She has been with Banfield of Grand Junction for 17 years, both in management and as a technician. Before that, she worked at Harris Equine Hospital. Her greatest passions include animals, the outdoors and family. Misty started showing Welsh Ponies at age 3 and continued showing horses and ponies, llamas, rabbits and dogs. She has 5 cats, 2 American Staffordshire terriers, all rescued, and a horse. She enjoys camping and scenic drives with her husband, Terry, photography, 4-wheeling, tactical shooting and spending time at the family farm.

Veterinary Assistant
Jenn has been with Banfield since June 2016. She previously worked for 10 years as a pet groomer and at a boarding kennel. Jenn is aspiring to become a Certified Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster. On her days off, she is hanging out with her husband and son, Brody, especially during summertime at Lake Powell. Jenn also has a boxer/Australian shepherd mix named Cowboy.

Veterinary Assistant
Scott was raised in a small Michigan farming community but has called Colorado home for more than 20 years. He obtained his B.S. degree in biology from Metropolitan State and his M.S. degree in anatomy and physiology from CSU. He has worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years, helping to treat companion animals and livestock. In addition to veterinary experience, Scott has also worked as a field biologist, where he researched and monitored endangered and threatened species of birds, mammals, and amphibians. He is an avid runner, enjoys hiking, gardening, and road trips with his family.

Veterinary Assistant
Leslie has been a veterinary technician since 2003. She is passionate about helping four legged family members live a long and healthy life through advocating the importance of preventive care. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Mesa, AZ, and has been practicing ever since. Leslie moved to Grand Junction in the summer of 2019 and has 6 dogs, all of which go hiking and mountain climbing with her. She likes to play outdoors and is very committed to an active and fit lifestyle. She has a boyfriend as well as a teenage son, who currently plays football in high school. They like to explore the Colorado 14ers and hike unknown trails. Leslie also enjoys reaching out to the community and supporting the Colorado parks and wildlife through hunting, fishing, camping, and volunteering.

Tarisa has brought her loving pets to Banfield since 2003. It was the Banfield team that inspired Tarisa, and she decided she would love to work in this field, starting in August 2016. She loves camping and fishing; her Shar Peis enjoy going with the family as well. Tarisa enjoys everyday she is working at Banfield.

Elizabeth has only been with Banfield for a short time. During which, she has become aware of the tremendous family atmosphere and care that is given to each client and their precious pets. Having moved with her children from the UK to Grand Junction in 2000, Elizabeth has worked for the last ten years in the human health care industry. Outside of work, Elizabeth will head towards the great outdoors every opportunity she can, hiking, biking, rafting, fishing & camping. She'll be the first to admit her other passion is home improvements. As a result, she loves to make old furniture look new again. Living with her daughter, Grace, breaded dragon, Russell Jr., and Sparky, a leopard gecko lizard, there's never a dull moment.
