Dr. Kelly Foster
Chief of Staff
Dr. Kelly Foster is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College and then from Auburn University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2011 and her areas of interest include ophthalmology. She has a golden retriever (Sam), a hound mix (Buster), and three cats (Schmitty da Kitty, Rufus, and Mattie). When not at work, Dr. Foster enjoys spending time with her husband Clay hiking in RMNP or traveling to tropical beaches and jungles.

Dr. Mary McAllister
Veterinarian
Dr. McAllister grew up in rural Pennsylvania, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Denver with a major in biology and a minor in physics focused on biomechanics. She studied veterinary medicine at the University of Edinburgh and achieved accreditation by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgery, the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council and the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education. Dr. McAllister enjoys educating owners about how preventive care can help improve the quality of life for their pet. When not at the clinic, Dr. McAllister can be found mentoring 4-H youth back in her hometown or in Colorado, hiking, camping and playing the fiddle. Additionally, she volunteers with Rural Area Veterinary Service in Nicaragua and with Equine Initiative in Honduras. In Denver, she volunteers with a spay/neuter clinic.

Dr. Cody Cano
Veterinarian
Dr. Cano grew up in Washington State, graduating from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and later, from Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He moved to Colorado to be with his fiancé and their family. Right now, they have a rat, Blitzen, but hope to adopt a dog soon! Dr. Cano is interested in surgery, population management, and preventive care. When he’s not with the Banfield team, he likes to be hunched over a good game of chess, play ukulele and sing, and kick things in Tae Kwon Do class.

Dr. Jennifer Poad
Veterinarian
Dr. Poad grew up in Chicago and completed her undergraduate at St. Louis University with a B.A. degree in biology. She then attended Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She moved to Colorado after completing an externship with Banfield during her fourth year of veterinary school. Dr. Poad has a dog named Louis and two cats named Charles and Alex. Outside of working at Banfield, she enjoys hiking with Louis (and sometimes the cats!) as well as swimming and exploring new places in Denver.

Holly Jensen, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Originally from Cincinnati, Holly moved to Colorado in 2010. She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology with an associate's degree in applied science and has been a CVT with Banfield since October 2013. Holly has 3 pets, a black and white cat named Luna Noir, a sphynx named Sole Bianco, and a rat named Angel. She also currently works for a pet sitting company and in her spare time, enjoys photography and watching movies. Some fun facts about Holly include that she worked as a Wildlife Rehabilitator in Ohio and has owned a goose, a chipmunk, and a pair of raccoons.

Leslie Pulido, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Leslie is from California and has been with Banfield since September 2015. She received her associate's degree in veterinary technology from the Community College of Denver in 2016 and received certification shortly thereafter. Currently, she is working on a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Metropolitan State University of Denver with an ultimate goal of becoming a zoo veterinarian. She has completed internships at the Denver Animal Shelter, Maxfund Wellness Center, and Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Leslie has 4 dogs, Shamu, Mia, George and Finley, she is also owned by 2 cats, Charlie and Piper. Her areas of interest include preventive care, emergency medicine, animal behavior, and exotic animal medicine.

Kaitlin Rivera, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Kaitlin grew up in beautiful Cody, Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park. From a very early age she took an interest and love for all critters large and small. As a child, she owned and cared for many animals from a hedgehog, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtle, and tree frogs to numerous hamsters. In 2009, she moved to Colorado and in 2016, graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Science with her associate's degree in applied science and became certified that same year. Today, Kaitlin and her husband, Mateo, have two wonderful dogs, Esperanza and Zeus, as well as a guinea pig name Gopher. On their days off, they can likely be found at the dog park, fishing or outside in nature.

Dominique is originally from California and has been with Banfield since 2015. She received her associate's degree in veterinary technology from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in 2016. She and her husband, Rodric, have 2 beautiful children, Emma and Evelynn. She also has 2 dogs, Bear (a German Shepherd) and Princess Leia (a boxer). On the rare occasion that she has spare time, she enjoys sleeping and traveling. Her interests include dental prophylaxis and laboratory diagnostics.

Yanel is originally from Florida and has been with Banfield since 2014. She has a bachelor's degree in business and a minor in HR from Miami Dade College. She has been in the veterinary profession since high school and is passionate about exotics and laboratory diagnostics. She and her husband, Rene, have a little girl named Reylah. Her furry family includes a Bengal (Mai Tai) and a Bichon Frise (Fifi). In her spare time, she enjoys sleeping and watching TV.
