    Dr. Susan Woodard


    Dr. Woodard earned a bachelor's degree in zoology and biology with a minor in history from Colorado State University. She earned her master's in biomedical sciences before attending and graduating from Colorado State's College of Veterinary Medicine. After attending vet school, she joined Banfield in 2012. Dr. Woodard has an interest in nutrition, behavior, and dermatology. She currently lives in Colorado Springs with a great Pyrenees mix named Riley. Dr. Woodard is a history enthusiast, loves reading sci-fi/fantasy novels, and can often be found fencing in her free time. More Details >>

    Dr. Kacey Carr


    Dr. Carr has recently planted roots in Colorado Springs after graduating from the University of Tennessee and working in Nashville for several years. Dr. Carr's background in mechanical engineering has translated into a special interest in complex orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures. Throughout his time in veterinary school, Dr. Carr was the recipient of numerous academic and leadership awards, including the "Clinical Student of the Year Award" during his senior year. He and his brother, also a veterinarian, comprise a duo which pairs their orthopedic procedures with advanced physical rehabilitation protocols. Dr. Carr, his wife, their 2 daughters, and 4 dogs spend their free time exploring the mountains and competing in obstacle course races across the country. They have recently acquired a farm in Black Forest where they plan to someday start a human-animal bond rehabilitation center. More Details >>

    Dr. Genevieve Grammer


    Genevieve Grammer is a native of Colby, Wisconsin and moved to Colorado in 2010 after graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She attained her bachelor of science degree in in animal science/equine management and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and performed her clinical rotation at the University of Missouri. Dr. Grammer has spent time working at spay and neuter clinics in Costa Rica, working wildlife conservation in South Africa, and studying zoonotic disease control in Germany. In her current free time she enjoys hiking with her Border Collie (they have completed nine 14ers so far!), riding her Mustang pony, reading, and learning yoga instruction. Dr. Grammer has worked in both large and small animal medicine and has been with Banfield Pet Hospital since 2013. More Details >>

    Latrice Owens

    Veterinary Technician

    Latrice graduated from La Guardia Community College in 2008 with an A.A.S. degree in veterinary technology. She became licensed in New York and certified in Colorado, and is working on VTS-Behavior with a strong focus on feline behavior. Latrice has two cats, Mouse and Beans, a guinea pig, Roland Deschain, and Sir Gregory the Pyrenees. In her free time, she enjoys playing Roller Derby, napping, reading, and knitting terribly.     Mark Fortner

    Veterinary Technician

    Mark was raised in the Dallas, but has always had a strong connection to Colorado Springs and moved to the area in 2000. He attended Mitchell High School and graduated in 2003. He then went on to study biology at UCCS. In 2011 Mark decided to become a vet tech and went to Pima Medical School for certification. After working in several other clinics in the area, Mark has been a tech at Banfield since 2018. He loves to travel and be outdoors a lot and has been working on improving his photography skills.
