    Dr. Thomas Suplizio


    Dr. Tom grew up in Grand Junction, CO and graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School in 2001. Following graduation, he completed a 13 month internship at the prestigious Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA, where his training included critical care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology. Dr. Tom and his wife, Dr. Tara, returned to Grand Junction in 2002 to raise their children and be close to family. They purchased Animal Medical Clinic in 2004. Dr. Tom and Dr. Tara have 3 very active boys, 2 dogs, Roo and Finn, 2 cats, Rio and Maizy, as well as chickens, and goats. He enjoys skiing, cycling, rafting, camping and rock climbing.     Dr. Tara Suplizio


    Dr. Suplizio is a 2001 Colorado State University Veterinary school graduate. She worked as a staff veterinarian in a busy small animal practice in Boston, MA before moving back to Grand Junction, CO, where she and Dr. Tom bought Animal Medical Clinic. She received her certification in Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians in 2011, and practices acupuncture on both large and small animals. Her certification in cold laser therapy and veterinary orthopedic manipulation was achieved in 2012. Dr. Suplizio works part time for Banfield, as she is a full-time mom to 3 active boys, 2 dogs, 3 cats, a couple of goats, a flock of chickens, a rat, and a hamster. When not at work, she and Dr. Tom enjoy mountain biking, rafting, skiing, trail running, and spectating their boys sporting events. More Details >>

    Dr. Julie Page


    A native of the western slope, Dr. Page grew up on a ranch in Meeker, CO and participated in 4-H and Future Farmers of America with livestock animals. Spending most of her youth working with animals, veterinary medicine was a natural career choice. Dr. Page received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2008. After practicing in rural mixed animal practice for a year, she moved to Grand Junction and has practiced small animal medicine at Animal Medical Clinic since June 2009. Dr. Page loves preventive care and soft tissue surgery. She spends her non-veterinary days caring for her 2 small children, Amelia and Everett, and hopes to enter them in 4-H when they reach participation age. Her hobbies include church activities, hiking, running, playing piano and guitar, and painting. Her pets include an 8-year-old Australian shepherd/heeler mix (Chip), a 10-year-old, one-eyed Chihuahua (TD), and a sassy fat orange tabby cat (Milo). More Details >>

    Dr. Laura Smith


    Dr. Smith is a 2017 graduate of Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She also earned her bachelor's degree in biological science from CSU. Dr. Smith is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, but has lived in Colorado for over 15 years. She joined our hospital in August, 2017. She has 3 pets, all rescues, including a pit bull mix from Oklahoma, a poodle mix from Cancun, and a 3-legged cat from Ft. Collins, who keeps the dogs in their place. She grew up riding and showing horses at Midwest venues, including the famed Kentucky Horse Park. Dr. Smith enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing, and looks forward to having a horse again sometime soon. More Details >>

    Dr. Janet Gordon-Palm


    Dr. Gordon-Palm is a practicing veterinarian of over 35 years. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1981, and moved to Simi Valley, CA to pursue work in both a high quality progressive small animal clinic, as well as with an equine ambulatory practice in Thousand Oaks. Life decisions resulted in a move to Minnesota where she performed medicine and surgery on small animal, avian and exotics in an AHAA practice for 29 years. Discovering low level laser therapy 8 years ago opened the doors to other integrative modalities. Dr. Gordon-Palm became both a laser healthcare specialist, as well as a certified veterinary chiropractitioner in 2010, performing veterinary orthopedic manipulation and myofascial release techniques. Training in osteopathy and other non-invasive modalities followed. She resides in Fruita, CO to pursue the adventurous lifestyle both she and her husband, Ron, adore.     Miranda Schroeder, CVT

    Practice Manager

    Miranda has been in the veterinary field since 2010. She graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster College in 2014. In 2016, the veterinary hospital she was working for merged with Banfield Pet Hospital. After becoming the Practice Manager at that location, she joined the Animal Medical Clinic team as Practice Manager in 2018. Her passion for animals and helping people who love animals drew her to veterinary medicine after working in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. When she isn't working, Miranda enjoys traveling, scuba diving, snowmobiling, and spending time with her family and pets. She has 3 pit bulls, Skylee, Stallone and Chance, a blue heeler, Sydney, and 2 horses, Jewel and Bonita. More Details >>

    Tammy has been working in the veterinary field for over 25 years. She truly enjoys working with the pets and the wonderful people that own them. She has played different roles in the hospital but enjoys management the most. When not at work, Tammy keeps busy with her own pets and husband, Dale. The outdoors is where they spend most of their time, hiking with their dogs and goats, or off road jeeping and biking in beautiful Colorado.     Veterinary Technician

    Jennie decided after years in human medicine to pursue what she’s always wanted to do, work with 4-legged patients. She went back to school and obtained a degree in veterinary technology, then passed her board certification in 2017, moved to Palisade, and happily came to work here!     Julie has been in the veterinary field for 16 years. She has worked at Animal Medical Clinic, now a Banfield Pet Hospital, for 14 years. Shealee is originally from California but moved to Colorado as a child.     Lisa has been in the veterinary field for 8 years and graduated from Pima Medical in Arizona. She moved to Colorado with her husband, her dog, Bella, and her cat, Jasmine, in 2014 from Arizona. She also worked for PetSmart for 14 years in management, and has always had pets and animals in her life. She enjoys gardening, ATV riding and loves raising her chickens.     Jerica is a Colorado native, and has been part of the Animal Medical Clinic/Banfield team for over a year as a receptionist. When not at work, she spends her time with family or outdoors exploring, traveling and fishing with her husband.     Client Service Coordinator

    As a child growing up in Colorado, Chris was introduced to the great outdoors which greatly influenced his career path. For thirty five years, he served as a park ranger working with people and wildlife at various parks throughout the United States. After leaving the park service, he worked as the manager of Roice-Hurst Humane Society for a short period in Western Colorado. Upon returning to California, Chris applied and was selected as an associate to join our Banfield family. His years of working with wildlife and domestic pets helped him prepare for this second career working for the welfare and health of our clients' pets. In 2018, Chris transferred back to Clifton and is continuing to work as a client service coordinator at the Clifton Banfield Pet Hospital, also known as Animal Medical Clinic.
