    Dr. Esther Park


    Dr. Esther Park was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis and graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University in 2011. Her special interests include preventive care and canine medicine. On her days off, Dr. Park enjoys outdoor activities such as running, biking and swimming.     Dr. Lara Martinez


    Dr. Lara Martinez was born in the Bay Area but grew up in Utah and Wyoming. As an undergraduate, she studied international relations and minored in music at Stanford University. For veterinary school, she attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, graduating in 2013. After graduation, she moved back to the Bay Area and has been focused on raising her son, Charles, who was born in 2013.     Dr. Anna Chang


    Dr. Anna Chang grew up in Taiwan and graduated from the Veterinary School of National Taiwan University. She went on to continue her studies at University of California, Davis and Kansas State University. After earning her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2009, she moved to Los Angeles to start her career. Dr. Chang has always had a passion for animals and decided to become a veterinarian in her childhood, while caring for her first pet. This passion gave her the dedication and courage to venture overseas to learn the art of veterinary care in the United States. Dr. Chang joined Banfield in 2017. She and her husband currently live in San Jose with a four month old little girl and a chubby cat, Milk Tea. She is also planning on adopting a dog to add to the family.     Dr. Stephanie Yang


    Dr. Yang hails from Michigan, where she was born and raised. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in zoology at Michigan State University, a Master’s of Public Health degree at Texas A&M University, and returned back to Michigan State University to complete her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree. Her special interests include preventive medicine, surgery, infectious diseases, public health, and research. In addition to cats and dogs, Dr. Yang also has interest and experience working with our smaller friends such as rabbits, rats, and mice. When not in the hospital, she enjoys trying new foods, traveling, high intensity workouts, watching movies, catching up on celebrity news, and taking her cockapoo, Jackson, and terrier mix, Milo, out to the lake.     Practice Manager

    Val is a Southern California native who moved to the Bay Area in 2012. She attended the Mt. San Antonio Community College Veterinary Technology Program and has been a RVT since 2010. She has been in the veterinary field for over 14 years now, half of that time with Banfield, and she can't imagine doing anything else. Through the years, Val has realized she not only has a passion for animals, but also has a passion for working with people. She prides herself in being an advocate for each and every one of our clients and patients, as well as developing and helping others grow both personally and professionally.     Veronica was born and raised in San Jose. She has been a veterinary assistant for 8 years and has loved every minute of her animal loving career.     Veterinary Assistant

    Margaret loves all living things, but especially cats and dogs. She has owned dogs, cats, small birds, mice, chickens, quails, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and turtles throughout her life. She graduated in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and then went on to receive her Veterinary Assistant certification at Foothill College. She has been with Banfield since 2014 and every pet she sees here, leaves a big paw print on her heart. Margy enjoys photography and taking pictures of pets.     Stephanie knew she wanted to work with animals since she was a child. She first started in a grooming salon and then spent some time in an emergency practice. She is currently enrolled at Carrington College to become a Registered Veterinary Technician, and hopes to expand her knowledge in preventive care with Banfield.     Rochelle is a San Jose native who recently finished school at Carrington College and is on her way to becoming a RVT. She has been in the veterinary field for 2 years and loves it!     Veterinary Assistant

    Megan is a native of northern Nevada. She met her husband in high school and then moved with him to southern California for his Marine Corps career. Megan has always been fascinated by veterinary medicine and received her veterinary assistant certification in 2014. She had her son in 2016, and is currently enrolled with Penn Foster working toward becoming a RVT. She has recently been relocated to the bay area by the military and looks forward to exploring the new environment.     Jamie Bos

    Part-time Veterinary Assistant

    Jamie is a Carrington College student who left the criminal justice world to take care of her passions in the animal world. She has been around pets her whole life and they are everything to her. She has two cattle dogs, Sasha and Aslan; two guinea pigs, Lana and Lilah; and a dwarf hamster named Guillermo. As a side hobby, she owns and manages a small business that centers around pet accessories and the love people have for their pets. Jamie is also a huge music lover and plays Bass Clarinet and Mallet Percussion. She aspires to become a RVT and one day complete her studies to become a DVM and specialize in emergency and critical care. She is excited to take her first steps at Banfield and do amazing things. Growing up, Priscilla owned 20 birds and now has 2 dogs including a 2-year-old husky named Blu and a 4-year-old pit bull named Izzy.     Maria was born in Minnesota and moved to California in 2012, first to Bakersfield, then to the Bay Area. She has always had animals but currently has Dante (a foxhound/Jack Russell mix), Riley (a plott hound/shepherd mix), and Virgil (a Jack Russell/Pomeranian mix). She has also had guinea pigs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, and many adopted lost bunnies or birds.
