    Dr. Sonia Hazarika

Dr. Sonia Hazarika was born and raised in San Diego. For as long as she can remember, her heart was set on becoming a veterinarian. She attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where she studied biology, biochemistry and studio arts. Dr. Hazarika went to veterinary school at Western University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in Pomona, CA. There she found her passion for veterinary pathology and surgery. After graduating, Dr. Hazarika joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2012 as an Associate Veterinarian at the Murphy Canyon location. She was excited to join the opening team at the Marina District branch in December 2014. In her spare time, Dr. Hazarika practices yoga, visits museums, keeps up with her artwork, enjoys trying new foods, and hangs out with her Yorkie, Jazz. More Details >>

    Dr. DagnaChelle Adrian

Dr. Shelly Adrian joined Banfield at the Point Loma location as an Associate Veterinarian in 2010 and joined the Marina District Hospital in 2015. Dr. Adrian grew up in Oceanside, California, and obtained a bachelor's degree from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas in 2003. She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She then completed a rigorous rotating internship with the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center, where she remained as an Emergency Veterinarian for an additional two years. Dr. Kate Carter

Dr. Kate Carter is a San Diego native. She received her undergraduate degree in genetics as well as her veterinary medical degree from UC Davis. During her final year of vet school, Dr. Carter completed her veterinary acupuncture certification. In addition to experience in small animal medicine, Dr. Carter has 3 years of experience working as a mobile equine veterinarian in Malibu, CA – where she had the opportunity to care for horses owned by some of Hollywood’s brightest stars. Dr. Carter's professional interests include ophthalmology, surgery, dermatology and acupuncture. When she's not at work, she enjoys surfing, rock climbing, cooking, leading pack trips in the Eastern Sierras and everything outdoors. More Details >>

    Dr. Allie Vignocchi

Dr. Vignocchi joins us from a suburb of Chicago where she and her sister grew up. She attended Colorado State University for undergrad and fell in love with the mountains. Upon graduation, she moved back to Illinois where she was a clinic manager and veterinary technician. Dr. Vignocchi then graduated from the University of Illinois with her DVM degree. After being in landlocked states her whole life, San Diego was calling her name. She packed up her two pets, Emma, a Newfoundland, and Norman, a hound mix, embarking on her next adventure. On her days off, Dr. Vignocchi enjoys exploring with her dogs as well as cooking handed down family recipes from her Italian ancestors. She hopes to take advantage of all there is in beautiful California and maybe even try surfing one of these days! More Details >>
