    Banfield Pet Hospital in North Oceanside is located on the corner of College Blvd and the 76 highway, close to the back gate of Camp Pendleton. Because of our location, we are honored to serve the brave men and women who protect our country. Our Chief of Staff, Dawn Love has been a marine for 22 years and is currently serving as a Lt. Colonel in the reserves as well. Our team is involved with The Wounded Warrior Project, sponsoring events and treating some of the local therapy dogs. Please stop by and visit our location any time for tour of the facility and to meet the associates, and bring your pet too!

    Dr. Dawn Love

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Love graduated from Western University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Along with being an accomplished veterinarian, Dr. Love holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and an MBA from Boston University. Dr. Love received her B.A. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has served our country in the Marine Corps for 22 years and currently holds the title of Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserves. Dr. Love left the large-animal community to practice companion animal medicine and is a dedicated advocate for preventive care and wellness. More Details >>

    Dr. Maria Demello


    Dr. Demello graduated from the University of California San Diego with a B.S. degree in animal physiology and neuroscience. She then chose veterinary medicine as her profession and went on to study at Ross University. Dr. Demello graduated in 2009 and has worked at several Banfield locations ever since. She has a special interest in preventing overpopulation through educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. Dr. Demello is extremely dedicated to preventive care and wellness, and enjoys following her patients progress throughout their lives.     Practice Manager

    Lindsay has been with Banfield for nine years and with North Oceanside since our opening in January 2013. She is an amazing asset to Banfield and to our hospital. Lindsay graduated from Cal State San Marcos with a degree in communications, and is passionate about client service and creating a great experience for our clients and their pets.     Shift Lead

    Tori Started with our hospital as an intern from the prestigious Mira Costa Veterinary Assistant program. It was evident from the start that Tori had an innate connection with our patients and a natural affinity for veterinary medicine. When her internship ended we were lucky to have an opening for her to fill. She has since become an integral part of our team. Tori has grown immensly, quickly becoming proficient in her hard nursing skills and recently finishing her surgery training. Tori has also taken on the huge responsibility of OSHA coordinator making our work environment as safe as possible.     Stephanie, RVT

    Veterinary Technician

    Stephanie has been with Banfield for 8 years and with North Oceanside since we opened. Stephanie is an amazingly accomplished Registered Veterinary Technician, who has worked in many aspects of veterinary medicine including exotics and emergency medicine. Stephanie has a passion both for teaching and learning. She was an original instructor at the Banfield academy teaching critical care and is currently working on her Academy Veterinary Technician Clinical Practice license.     Veterinary Technician

    Tania has been with Banfield for 3 years and with our location since we opened. Tania started her career as a pet care assistant and quickly showed an affinity for veterinary medicine and was promoted to veterinary assistant. Tania is hoping to attend the Banfield Academy soon to further her education and earn her RVT license. Tania also has expressed interest in the Banfield Ambassador Program as she has a desire to travel and volunteer in the veterinary community.     Veterinary Technician

    Khea joined our team at the opening of our North Oceanside location as a Client Service Coordinator. She learned the ropes quickly and expressed interest in becoming a veterinary assistant. She is now an exceptional part of our nursing staff. Khea has a great love and affinity for the pets she treats every day and can always be counted on to give comfort and cuddles in stressful situations.     Veterinary Assistant

    Our newest staff member Martha, graduated from the Mira Costa Veterinary Assistant program. Martha's background is in client service, and she is using that extensive knowledge and expertise to quickly become a favorite of our clients. Martha has become proficient in her nursing skills very quickly, and we are looking forward to her starting surgery training in the near future. Martha has a special interest in the laboratory and parasitology, and we often depend on her expertise to read our cytologies and run our blood work. Martha is pictured here with her pet, Spades.     Veterinary Assistant

    Meghan comes to us with an incredible amount of experience with small animals. Meghan was a groomer for PetSmart for 9 years and has an amazing understanding of the human-animal bond. Because of her background with small animals, Meghan is a very flexible associate able to transition from the front desk and client service to the treatment area to help with restraint or nail trims.
