    Dr. Louie earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Southern California before attending and graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, she moved back to Southern California to be with her family, husband, and geriatric Labrador retriever, Titus. Dr. Louie is also an avid swimmer. More Details >>

    Dr. Joanne Kang

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Kang is a Los Angeles native and started her career in high school as a kennel assistant at a local animal clinic. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in biology at Occidental College, she gained more experience working as a technician. During her final year of college, she studied abroad in Australia, where she further studied the relationship between humans and animals. Her love for international perspectives and experiences led her to attend veterinary school at St. George’s University in the Caribbean island of Grenada. She completed her clinical rotations at Oregon State University where she advanced her surgical skills by performing numerous spays and neuters at the Oregon Humane Society. After school, she came back home to sunny California and joined Banfield in October of 2017. Her animal family consists of two pet rats, Princess Buttercup and Sasha Fierce, and two cats, Blackie (pictured) and Khaleesi. More Details >>

    Veterinary Technician

    Emily’s love of animals began when her parents would bring her to the local zoo as a child. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside and then pursued her veterinary science degree at Pierce College, obtaining her RVT license thereafter. She worked at several hospitals and a zoo before joining Banfield. She has been with Banfield for 8 years and enjoys the nursing aspects of her work. Emily's special interests include traveling, photography, and spending time with her comedic husband, rambunctious American Eskimo, Kimo, and sassy feline, Oli. More Details >>

    Veterinary Assistant

    Jovana is currently finishing her last semester in a natural sciences undergraduate program and looking forward to beginning her master's degree in applied mathematics. Her veterinary medicine interests include working with wild life and exotic species. During her spare time, she enjoys making doggie treats for her dachshunds and doing DIY projects.
