Dr. Saman Rafia
Veterinarian
Dr. Rafia has been in practice since 2005 and joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2015. He has medical experience with multiple species but right now, is only focusing on dogs and cats. He also has some roots in academia and research, and has successfully published many articles including one in the American Journal of Veterinary Research. His professional interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine, neurology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Rafia lives in beautiful Orange County with his wife.

Dr. Mallory Wong
Veterinarian
Dr. Wong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2016 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She discovered her love for working with animals while fostering for the San Diego Humane Society during her undergraduate studies at UCSD. Observing the human-animal bond is one of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and two dogs, Rama (a beaglier) and Poppy (a golden retriever). Dr. Wong also enjoys baking, cooking and traveling.

Veterinarian
Dr. Slattery obtained her bachelor's degree in animal science at UC Davis in 2011. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in 2017 and began working at Banfield that year. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association. A San Diego native, Dr. Slattery is happy to be back in Southern California and enjoys hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her dog, Goliath.

Dr. Moazzen is from Tehran, Iran and received his undergraduate degree in medical laboratory science at Iran University of Medical Science, Tehran in 2001. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010 from the University of Tehran. After 2 years practicing in his country, he moved to United States in 2012 and became licensed in the state of California in 2016.

George has been a Practice Manager at Banfield for over 2 years. Prior to coming to Banfield, George worked several deeply rewarding years in the social service sector providing help, education and housing to individuals of the homeless, veteran and foster youth population. George's desire and compassion for helping others eventually lead him to the rewarding career in pet care where he now manages one of of the first stand alone hospitals for Banfield in the Orange County market.

April is a new member of the Banfield family as of August 2016. She is always doing her best to make your experience at Banfield a rewarding one, as well as assisting the doctors whenever needed. April is an avid animal lover with 7 dogs of her own and will surely treat your pet like her own with plenty of love and affection throughout your pet's visit. She is currently working on her biological science degree at California State University Fullerton with the hopes of one day becoming a veterinarian. In her free time, she spends time at the beach taking a swim with her friends.

Veterinary Assistant
Ashley grew up in Laguna Niguel and has been working with pets since 2012. She believes that working with animals is hard work and takes dedication, but finds it absolutely rewarding. She is currently attending Heritage College to become one of our next Registered Veterinary Technicians. Outside of caring for your pets, Ashley takes pride in caring for her own dog, Lacy, and her two crested geckos, Cleo and Clyde. In her free time, she enjoys grooming dogs, going to Disneyland, and being outside fishing with friends.
