Dr. Tomoyuki Motokubota

Dr. Motokubota earned his bachelor's degree in biology from UCLA. He then worked as a veterinary assistant and technician for two years before attending and graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel names Juneau and loves spending quality time with her. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, eating good food, watching movies, exploring new places, and being active outdoor.

Dr. Stephanie Telarroja
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Telarroja is a Southern California native who received her bachelor's degree in animal science from Cal Poly Pomona in 2005. She then worked in the veterinary field as a technician until she attended Western University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2014 and went on to complete a highly competitive 1-year internship in small animal medicine, surgery, neurology, oncology, and emergency care. Dr. Telarroja's interests include soft tissue surgery and cardiology. When not busy saving lives, she enjoys reading books, watching movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and 3 pets.

Dr. Yuna Jin
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jin was born in South Korea, spent her childhood there, and permanently moved to Southern California. She is a local, went to Whittier Christian High School, and earned her bachelor's degree in neuroscience from USC. She attended CBNU School of Veterinary Medicine in South Korea and finished her clinical rotation at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She loves white fluffies. She has two Maltese mixes at home (Romeo and Tinkerbell) and Juliet who has passed recently but will always be in her heart.

Jorge Lopez, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Jorge started at our hospital earlier this year as an RVT. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona where he earned his degree in animal health science. After graduating, he worked in ER medicine and in December of last year, he earned his license. At home, Jorge has 3 birds, 2 cockatiels, and a parakeet. When not working, he enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and watching football.

Brandy Benson, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Brandy started at Banfield 5 years ago. She worked at the Puente Hills location until 2019 when she transferred to the Walnut location. She enjoys being able to help pets, and especially enjoys getting to play with puppies and kitties. She is a self proclaimed couch potato and on her days off, she enjoys relaxing at home with her 2 cats and dog watching Netflix. Brandy's an avid gamer and plays on all consoles and PC games. When she is feeling adventurous, she enjoys going out hiking and bowling, and her favorite movies include Star Wars, Star Trek, Brave, and Bambi. Brandy is a bit of a cat lady and kitties are her forte. She is fascinated by radiology and hopes to one day specialize in it, as well as ultrasound.

Diosennia (Dio) Ortiz, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Dio has been at our hospital for 5 years, and is responsible for overseeing safety procedures in our hospital and training new technicians. She has 2 pets, Rocky and Delilah, and has a beautiful baby girl named Diana and a son on on the way. In her down time, she loves being active outdoors. You can find her running through the city with local running groups, her husband, and pet, Delilah. She also loves to cook and explore new yummy food spots.
