Dr. Shen was born and raised in Wichita, KS. He attended Kansas State University graduating in 1998 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He has been a driving force in our hospital for over 15 years now. He specializes in small animal medicine and a variety of surgical procedures. In his free time, he enjoys barbequing and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Dr. Amanda Silverman
Veterinarian
Dr. Silverman was born and raised in Southern California. After completing programs at UC Riverside and Cal Poly Pomona, she went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis. Dr. Silverman joined the Brea team in 2015. Her interests include internal medicine and surgery. She has a dog named Remus and a cat named Albus. In her down time, she enjoys good food, the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family and pets.

Dr. Jennifer Lin
Veterinarian
Dr. Lin completed her undergraduate degree at University of California, San Diego. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University and completed her clinical training at Louisiana State University. She currently resides with her husband and an orange tabby kitty named Peaches, who adopted her during her college years. Dr. Lin’s goal is to create a fear-free environment in order to provide the best care for your pets. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, spending time with family and friends, traveling and trying various cuisines.

Stephany Soto, RVT
Practice Manager
Stephany trained and attended at Cal Poly Pomona under animal science/ pre vet. She has been with Banfield for 9 years, started with us as a veterinary assistant in 2010 and grew within our practice to become our practice manager. As an RVT, she has developed an interest for tough dental cases and is always excited to perform extractions. Her passion is in teaching her skill, helping grow future RVTs and helping her team become a high performance hospital. Stephany is married with 2 kids and 4 dogs.

Rosanna Espino, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Rosy is a Registered Veterinary Technician that has been with Banfield since March of 2014. She graduated the same year from Carrington College in California, receiving her associate's degree in animal science. The following year in 2015, she went on to receive her state license. Rosy is very passionate about animals, always has been since she was a little girl, and her favorite breed is Boston terrier.

Camille Mendoza Sanchez, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Camille is a Registered Veterinary Technician who joined the Brea Banfield team in 2010. She graduated in 2014 from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with specialized coursework in pre-allied health, and from Mt. San Antonio College with an Associate of Science degree in registered veterinary technology. She has also enjoyed volunteering at the Marine Mammal Care Center Los Angeles where she helped provide care to rehabilitate rescued sick and injured seals and sea lions so they can be released back to their home in the ocean. Her free time is spent hanging out with her husband and son. She also has a mischievous Siberian husky named Linus.

Ilene Alvarez
Veterinary Assistant
Ilene has been with Banfield for almost 2 years. She is currently pending approval to take her VTNE to become a RVT and is super excited to enhance her career! She has loved animals since she was a little girl and adopted her first pet from the shelter at age 5. From then on, she knew that working with animals was something she was going to do when she got older. Ilene has a 7-year-old cat named Garfield and a 3-year-old German Shepherd named Hercules. She loves her job and all the furry friends that she has the opportunity to care for!

Her passion for animals started as a child and has only gotten stronger over years. She loves new challenges and will help out in any situation however she can! She loves all types of animals, but has an especially large soft spot for reptiles. When she's not at work, you can find her playing with her dogs and tending to her breaded dragon!
