Dr. Gabriel Franca
Chief of Staff
Dr. Franca graduated from the University of São Paulo Veterinary School, Brazil in 2003. He worked extensively with wildlife and exotic animals in a non-profit organization while in vet school and after graduation, would see a variety of animals. He has been happily working with Banfield since May 2013 and was promoted to Chief of Staff in October 2015. Dr. Franca has a grey cat named Zulu, a brown tabby named Kaya, Koopi, a yellow tabby who was born with congenital problems on his back legs and cannot use them, and a Chihuahua named Ramon. He also has a frog, snakes, a box turtle, fishes, and 2 guinea pigs named Minnie and Cocoa. Dr. Franca's hobbies include hiking, camping, running, watching movies and reading "A Song of Ice and Fire" books.

Dr. Chase Cromwell
Veterinarian
Dr. Cromwell was born and raised in Arizona. He went to high school at Saguaro in Scottsdale, graduated with a bachelor's degree in veterinary science from the University of Arizona in 2015, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. He has interests in surgery and radiology, and looks forward to implementing it into our practice. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Cromwell enjoys hiking, traveling, photography, and playing/watching sports such as soccer, football, and basketball.

Dr. Danielle Semick
Veterinarian
Dr. Semick grew up in Long Island, New York, and graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor's degree in biology and biochemistry. She earned her DVM degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry and geriatric care. On her days off, she enjoys volunteering at a wildlife center with an avian focus, running outdoors with her two dogs, competing in charitable runs, and baking.
