    Dr. Benjamin Macuil-Rojas

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Macuil-Rojas was born and raised in Mexico City, and attended the National University of Mexico for his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics. He received his Master of Science degree also from the National Autonomous University of Mexico doing research on stem cells derived from canine adipose tissue. After completing his professional studies, he received additional training at the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable, Massachussetts; the Houston Zoo in Houston, Texas; the Miguel Alvarez Toro Zoo in Chiapas, Mexico; Delphinus at Playa del Carmen, Mexico; and the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico City. After years working with wildlife, as well as with dogs and cats, he moved to Arizona and began working for Banfield in 2018.     Dr. Jason Long


    Dr. Long grew up in the U.S.-Mexico border town of Douglas, AZ. In 2007, he attended the University of Arizona where he majored in microbiology and veterinary sciences. Dr. Long then went on to veterinary school in Fort Collins, CO at Colorado State University where he graduated in 2016. Outside of work, he enjoys playing the piano, the outdoors, and traveling. Dr. Long has 1 pet, a food driven beagle named Paco that he adopted while attending veterinary school. More Details >>

    Dr. Alexandria Young


    Growing up in Iowa, Dr. Young knew from a young age she wanted to be a veterinarian. Her passion for animals led her to explore horseback riding, shelter volunteer work, wildlife rehab volunteer work, as well as bringing home many animals she found along the way. She attended NC State in Raleigh, North Carolina for a bachelor’s degree in zoology and then worked several years as a veterinary technician in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Her areas of interest are animal behavior and human interactions, nutrition, and quality preventive medicine. Dr. Young has two cats, one dog, two snakes, one turtle, a couple of mice, a hamster and several tanks of fish. She is very passionate about listening and understanding her clients in order to help provide the best possible care and foster relationships between pets and their people. More Details >>
