Dr. Charla Sims
Veterinarian
Dr. Sims grew up in Cullman, AL. She graduated in 1999 with a degree in animal sciences from Auburn University, and attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2003. Dr. Sims joined the Banfield Pet Hospital of Huntsville-Jones Valley team in 2007 as full-time veterinarian, and then worked in the Mid-south region as a relief veterinarian before returning to Huntsville-Jones Valley hospital full-time in 2013. She currently has one cat named Friend and a Golden Retriever named Zipper.

Dr. Sarah Hurt
Veterinarian
Dr. Hurt was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended Auburn University where she graduated in 2012 with a degree in animal sciences and then attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2016 with a degree in veterinary medicine. Since graduation, Dr. Hurt has worked at Banfield, first in Mobile, Alabama before transferring back to Huntsville over the summer of 2017 to be closer to her family. Her interests outside of work include hiking, knitting, and cuddling/watching TV with her standard poodle, Wall-E.

Dr. Ralph Wood
Veterinarian
Dr. Wood was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Gardendale, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology in 2008 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013. After graduation, Dr. Wood spent a year and a half in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia working for Banfield. In 2014, he moved back to Birmingham, Alabama to work in private practice and later joined the Jones Valley Banfield team in April 2018. When not at work, Dr. Wood enjoys golfing.

Nia Witt
Practice Manager
Nia is a native of Huntsville, AL. She attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history and a minor in theatre with a focus on costume design and construction. She had always wanted to work in the veterinary field and joined Banfield in 2013. Nia and her husband, Lee, have three cats and a rabbit and in her free time, she enjoys sewing and needlework.

Shift Lead
Holli Grissom grew up in Hayden, AL just outside of Birmingham. She is currently attending Penn Foster University pursing a Veterinary Technician degree. Holli joined the Banfield Pet Hospital of Huntsville-Jones Valley team in 2010 as a Vet Assistant after working at the Trussville location as a Vet Assistant since 2009. She and her husband Will have a precious little daughter named Annie who just turned 2 and one cat named Chuck.

Adam grew up in Jupiter, Florida and moved to Huntsville in 2007. He joined the Banfield team in July 2016 and is majoring in biology. He has two dogs, Pepper and Sasha, and four cats, Adele, Garnet, Merlin, and Maurice.

Veterinary Technician
Raven grew up in Holly Pond, AL. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Jefferson State Community College in 2016. She has a Chihuahua named Peanut and 3 cats, Amarillo Sky, Darth Sidious, and Roy Mustang. Raven has worked in the veterinary field for 9 years. She has had a love for animals since a very young age and finds it an honor to help pets have the very best life.

Brittany was born in Huntsville but grew up in Montgomery before moving back to Huntsville to finish school. She has a certification in Veterinary Assisting and plans to attend school to further her career as a Veterinary Technician. Hans-Noel Corbett
Veterinary Assistant
Hans grew up on Merritt Island, Florida and moved to the Tennessee Valley in 2008. He is a former animal science student at the University of Tennessee in Martin, Tennessee, and is currently working on becoming a veterinarian specializing in marine life. He joined the Banfield team in June of 2018, and continues to volunteer in large animal husbandries on a local farm here in the Tennessee Valley. Hans owns multiple horses, dogs, cows, aquatic pets, a cat, a ferret, and mice. He has a high dedication to assisting in the health of animals and enjoys working with them as well!

Lisa and her husband, Frank, have 2 cats, Lucy and Mina.
