    Rhesa Houston, DVM


    Dr. Houston graduated from Tuskegee University in 2007 and began working for Banfield in July 2007. She believes it is her responsibility to be the advocate for each pet and give pet owners the information they need to keep their companions healthy through preventive care. As a child Dr. Houston suffered from chronic ear infections, and knowing how painful these can be, lead her to become very passionate about assisting pets with Otitis Externa, or infections of the ear.     Brett Earley, DVM


    Dr. Earley graduated from Auburn University in 2005. He completed 1 year private practice and surgery rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Earley began working with Banfield in October 2006. Dr. Earley's special interests are in internal medicine and ophthalmology. Dr. Earley is extremely passionate about ensuring pets have a lifetime with their parents through preventive care. Dr. Earley's preventive care focus is heartworm disease education and prevention.     Practice Manager

    DeCarlo "Dee" White joined Banfield Pet Hospital and team Hoover as Practice Manager in November of 2013. After spending 20 years in retail, she wanted to find a place that would provide her the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Everyday she has the opportunity "to do what she does best" - educate clients on the importance of preventive care, take care of her team, assist in providing an exceptional client service experience and play with kittens and puppies all day!     Shift Lead/Veterinary Technician

    Nicole graduated from Median School of Allied Health Careers (now known as Vet Tech Institute) in Pittsburgh, PA in 2004 with an Associate's degree of Applied Sciences geared towards Veterinary Technology. She has been the Shift Lead and Lead Veterinary Technician since 2011, and has been with the Hoover location since 2008. She is a huge advocate of preventive care and enjoys client education.     Veterinary Assistant

    Allison has been working full-time at Banfield in Hoover for over two years. She is from Pelham, AL and graduated from the Penn Foster Veterinary Assistant program in 2013. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program with Penn Foster. Allison loves spending time with her husband, daughter, two Golden Retrievers, and enjoys volunteering at the local animal shelter and fostering kittens whenever possible. More Details >>

    Heather has been working full-time at Banfield for over two and half years. She is from Pinson, AL and is currently enrolled in Jefferson State community college Veterinary Technician program, with graduation plans of summer 2016.     Brena is from Virginia Beach and has been in the Birmingham area since 2010. She has been working with Banfield for just over 2 years. Before her employment with Banfield, Brena was a private nurse for a well known celebrity's family member, and she holds a specialty care license in Oncology.     Dominic has been with Banfield since July 2013. He started in Montgomery, AL then transferred to Hoover later that year. Dominic has always had a passion for animals of all kinds.     Shalonda is a part-time Client Service Coordinator and is attending school at Bevill State Community College for her business degree. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school at the University of Alabama. She has a beautiful spirit, is fun-loving, outgoing, and loves animals.     Lanae is a Client Service Coordinator and is most excited about working with our pets and their owners to help improve their quality of life. Lanae is a graduate of Samford University with a degree in accounting and worked in the profession for 15 years before changing career paths to retail.
