• Daisy was recently boarded while we were in vacation. She currently has a nasty cough and sounds like she is choking. She seems normal and lovable but maybe a little less energetic than what we are used too. We are worried is it something serious?

  • Hi there, Our sweet boy is 8 months old and is a Maltese poodle mix. He seems to be having pain in his right eye, we have noticed that he hasn’t been wanting to fully open it and/or keep it closed (has been doing this for 1 hour now). I have tried to rub his eye to see if it’ll give him some relief but he’s still showing the same behavior. Do we need to bring him in to get checked out or is there something we can try at home? Thank you!
  • Can I give my 7 year old cat pumpkin? She's had a few soft stools. She's a Siamese mix female. Thank you. Patty
  • 1) My puppy who is almost 5 months old, bites his front paws/claws., and I noticed he usually does it when he is tired. Is that normal? 2) Also, my puppy chews on everything such as, the furniture, feet, shoes, etc. due to he his teething. How long will his teething phase last? And are there any suggestions to soothe his teething? Thank you so much! Celeste Lara
  • On 5/15/19 we placed our dog, Hermione, in doggy day care at Pittsburgh Paws. We took them a copy of her recent vaccinations, but she needed a Bordetella booster which they said I could administer myself, and I did. I have a paper that I would like to upload for your files proving that I gave my dog the Bordetella booster, but cannot find an upload link on your website.
  • How do I know if my puppy has a tapeworm? Found little worms in her stool for the first time yesterday.
  • There is a product on the market called Kidney Support Gold (by Pet Wellbeing). They are drops that help support a cat's kidney functions. We have a 14 year old cat who is developing kidney disease and is barely eating as we switch him from normal food to a renal support diet. Will these drops be helpful while we continue to transition his dietary needs? Or is there something similar that you recommend? We are concerned that his refusal to eat will only make his medical condition even worse. Thank you for any info you can provide.
  • Lately my cat has been itching his neck a lot. The last time we were at the vet, they said his skin was fine. He doesn't have fleas, but the skin is red and irritated and he is loosing a lot of hair in that area. I was able to get him a vet appointment, but that is four days away. What can I do to make him more comfortable until then?
  • Can I put Neosporin on my dog's vagina? She went to the groomers yesterday and her vagina is a little red, maybe irritation. How do I help treat it?
