• This afternoon I let my dog out to go use the restroom. When he came in I noticed his tail was in between his legs and was acting slumber. I went down to see what was wrong and touched the left side of his face and he whimpered. I believe I'm noticing some swelling on his left side of his neck but I can't really make sure because of his fur and when i try to touch he moves away. Could a bee or something else have stung him? Should I be concerned? He is eating, but he just very sluggish. thanks

    Hi Diana,
If these symptoms have continued I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian immediately if you have not already done so. These symptoms can be from an insect bite and the concern would be a full allergic reaction. This can become life threatening and early treatment can help to prevent a full blown reaction. There can be other causes for these symptoms as well including an injury, infection, or an underlying medical issue. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the symptoms and the treatment he needs after they have examined him.
