• Recently, my cat stopped eating his normal dry food. Took him to the vet, xrays came back clean. I tried switching to wet food no avail. So I bought some canned chicken and tuna; he ate very small amounts. Finally at my wit's end, I gave him some of my food and he ate it. Now all he will eat is what I'm eating and it can't be placed in a bowl or plate: he must watch me bite off of it and then break a piece off for him. I have no earthly idea what is going on. What can I do to get him back to his normal eating habits?

    Hi Monica,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this question. It is concerning that he is still not eating so there may be some underlying condition or disease along with a behavioral issue that is causing the pickiness. Your vet knows his medical history so they will be able to give you the best advice on the next steps needed to diagnose or rule out the causes of the not eating. They can also work with you on a behavior modification plan to address the behavioral component of this.
