• Our cat is 5 years old and weighs 10.85 (they rounded it off to 10.9). They consider that overweight and a 4. She has always been a 3 in ideal weight. What is the ideal weight for her? She is a DSH, will turn 6 in June.

    Hi Stefanie,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local Banfield hospital about this. The ideal weight of a pet will depend on the size and skeletal structure of the individual cat. Your vet knows your cat and will be able to give you the best advice on her ideal weight and how to help her lose weight.
