• My rottie was spayed by you at 5 mths and she is now 11 mths and has had a pouch in lower belly the whole time. We got her a few weeks before spaying so didnt notice. Her surgery went well and no infection, but pouches are still there and feel hard if you press into them. She does not feel pain if you do that. She is very energetic, eats well and sleeps well. Is this fat or something to be concerned about?I only see it when she sits they bulge out Thank you Christa Wehling

    Hi Christa,

I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian. From your description the pouch that you are seeing could be anything from normal fat or muscle to something severe like a hernia. Your vet can let you know what the pouch is and if she needs any treatment after they have examined her.
