• My dog is terrified of getting his nails clipped. In the past they were able to muzzle him and do it at Banfield. I took him in last week and they weren't able to get the muzzle on. I made an appointment to sedate him and have them clip his nails then. I was wondering if there was a less invasive option. A pill to calm him instead of sedating him? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Jen,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local Banfield veterinarian about this question. There may be some medications in pill form that can be used for this. However, this will depend on a few different factors including your pet’s age, breed, overall health, and how he responds during the nail trim. Your vet knows your pet and they will be able to give you the best advice on this.
