Hi Grace, I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this. There may be a risk of contracting disease but this risk will vary depending on where you live. Your vet knows your local area and can best advise you on if he needs to be examined or if this is something that you can watch. If you see any signs like vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, coughing, or not wanting to eat, you should take him into see a veterinarian as soon as possible.
