• My 17 year old cat just got diagnosed with Kidney Disease. Before getting diagnosed, his appetite wasnt the best and he would never eat as much as he needed to maintain body weight so he ended up losing a pound over 6 months. Now with his diagnosis, his eating habits are still the same and hes still not eating as much as he should even though he loves the new food. Should I be giving him an appetite stimulant to keep him from losing even more weight?

    Hi Stephanie,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this question. Your vet knows your pet’s medical history so they can give you the best advice on what can be done to help stimulate his appetite.
