• I have Bailey on Nexguard for flees and ticks and am very concerned about the latest information out about ingredients that this medicine can cause seizures. Does he really need medication for flees and ticks.? If so what other medication can you recommend?

    Hi Marcia,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about your concerns. This class of medications is safe for the vast majority of dogs and the risk of seizures may be less than the risk of flea and tick related diseases. The risk of the medication and of flea and tick related diseases will vary depending on where you live and your pet’s overall health. Your local vet knows your pet’s medical history and they will be able to talk to you about your concerns and give you the best advice that is specific to your pet’s unique situation.
