Hi Mayara,
There can be a couple of different reasons for seeing live fleas after the Firstshield. The medication can excite the nervous system of the fleas as they are dying. This can sometimes cause the fleas to come to the surface of the hair where they are more easily seen as they are dying. This usually occurs within 2 hours of administration but can be seen after administration if new fleas are jumping on your pet. Other reasons for this is that it did not absorb correctly after application, or that the fleas are somehow resistant to the medication. If you are continuing to see fleas I recommend that you call and talk to your local vet about this. They can get some more history from you and then recommend the best flea prevention for him.
