• Does canine oral papilloma virus warrant an emergency vet appointment? I suspect my dog has it because last night was the first time i saw a little bit of hair loss, inflammation small growths. Are his allergies related to this? Thank you

    Hi Marie,
I do recommend taking your dog to his primary care veterinarian to have his skin assessed. There can be many causes of hair loss including, allergies, infections, and parasites. The veterinarian can perform an exam and determine if any testing would be needed and then what therapy would best suit your pet.
