Dr. Anika Farina received her DVM degree from Tufts University in 2018. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014. She was born in Tampa, Florida and grew up all along the East Coast with a variety of small animal pets. She has a soft spot for English springer spaniels and especially enjoys spending time with her family’s new springer puppy named Finn, nicknamed “The Finstigator”. Her interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and Fear Free handling techniques to decrease patient stress during their veterinary examinations. She has a passion for giving back and volunteering at local animal shelters. While at Tufts, she established the Cummings Thrive initiative to advocate for physical and emotional welfare of veterinary students and professionals. In her free time, Dr. Farina enjoys running, skiing, sailing, playing soccer, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
