Dr. Pinkston graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. After practicing in Western Kentucky, he joined the Lansdowne practice in 1983. He has had advanced training in dentistry, allowing him to do crowns, root canals, fillings and orthodontics. He has been a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society since 1991. Dr. Pinkston is married and has two grown children. The rest of the household is composed of two miniature dachshunds, Sam and Trey, and two Labrador retrievers, Dixie and Bay. He is the very proud grandfather of five girls, Mary Beth, Anna Leigh, Virginia and Sarah Kate, as well as four grandsons, John Douglas, Stephen, Thomas and Levi (Stephen and Thomas are named for Dr. Pinkston!).
