Dr. Vega grew up in upstate New York and started her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Massachusetts. She obtained her Associate in Science degree (citation in honors), Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude with citations in honors) and a Master of Science degree in biotechnology before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2017. After graduation, she moved to Salt Lake City area where she joined the Banfield family and then returned to Colorado. Her professional interests include pathology, exotics, and animal behavior. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, revamping antique furniture, reading and spending time with her family.
