Dr. Liz Dawson was born in the St. Louis metro east area and resided there until she moved to Columbia, Missouri to attend college. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned a bachelor's degree in animal science in 2003. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, also from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduation, she was married and moved to her husband's family farm in southwest Missouri. She practiced at a small animal clinic in Neosho, Missouri for 9 years before joining the Banfield team in 2016. Dr. Dawson enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs, Truman and Cricket.
