Dr. Silber grew up in Texas and Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Amherst College in 1980 and her veterinary degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Following 7 years of small animal clinical medicine, Dr. Silber completed a residency in anatomic pathology at Harvard Medical School. She moved to California and has worked as a veterinary pathologist for Antech Diagnostics, San Diego County and a mobile necropsy service. In 2016, she returned to clinical medicine and chose Banfield because of its focus on preventive medicine. Dr. Silber has a special interest in pathology, forensics, and dentistry. She lives in Encinitas with her husband, dogs, cats, rabbit, chickens and horses. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, gardening and visiting her children.
