Shakim Holmes, DVM

Dr. Shakim Holmes, DVM, is a dedicated veterinarian who has been part of the Banfield team since 2021. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University in 2018, where he developed a strong foundation in veterinary medicine. Dr. Holmes is passionate about ensuring that every animal receives care with love, safety, and respect. His professional interests focus on veterinary dentistry and surgery, areas where he applies his skills to improve animal health and comfort. Additionally, Dr. Holmes values building cohesive and collaborative teams to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. Outside of his veterinary work, Dr. Holmes enjoys reading books, playing video games, and discovering new restaurants. He is also a proud cat owner, sharing his home with three cats named Valkyrie, Kakarot, and Oso.
