Melissa Derner

Melissa Derner is the Practice Manager at Banfield Pet Hospital in Hutto. She has been part of Banfield since 2009, where she started her career as a Pet Nurse Assistant at our location in Silverdale, WA. Since then, she has grown and developed over the years into Client Service Coordinator, Veterinary Assistant, Shift Lead and into the Practice Manager role in 2015. During this time, she visited many Banfield locations in Washington, California and Texas. Since becoming a manager in 2015; Melissa began at the Temple, TX location, then moved her family to Austin area where she managed the NE Austin location for 2 years, until building a house and settling into her favorite town of Hutto, when she took over as Practice Manager in November of 2020. While she has been part of the Banfield family for years, her own family includes her husband, her pets and her foster children.
