Melanie earned a bachelor's degree in psychology as well as a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of North Florida. She is currently working on her veterinary technician certification through Penn Foster. She has worked in the veterinary field for 16 years and has been with Banfield for the past 10 years. Melanie is also an avid horseback rider and enjoys the sport of mounted shooting in her spare time. She has a keen interest in birds and reptiles and enjoys spending time with her family, ballroom dancing, kayaking, and finding shark teeth on the beach.
