Kelly McDonald, DVM

Dr. Kelly McDonald is the Area Chief of Staff for our Frederick, Germantown, and Gaithersburg locations. With a strong passion for mentoring veterinarians and a dedication to providing exceptional care, Dr. McDonald is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of her patients across her various locations. Dr. McDonald has a special love for preventative care, dermatology, and internal medicine. She believes in the importance of educating pet owners on the significance of preventive measures and building strong relationships with her clients. In 2013, Dr. McDonald graduated from the Virginia Maryland Veterinary College and has been a valued member of the Banfield Pet Hospital team ever since. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Beyond her professional life, Dr. McDonald resides near Frederick, Maryland with her loving family. She shares her home with her husband, two wonderful children, and two adorable toy poodles named Abe and Laney. Outside of her work, Dr. McDonald enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and reading.
