Jennifer O'Brien, DVM

Jennifer O’Brien, an Ohio native, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She practiced in Tennessee for six years before relocating to the Charlotte area to join the Banfield team in 2011. Dr. O’Brien is passionate about educating not only her clients, but her staff and co-workers as well. She enjoys frequently traveling to other hospitals to mentor doctors on novel or complicated surgeries. In 2008 she was awarded the Banfield President's Award for developing an educational program to further the development of veterinary assistants within her market. She has mentored vet tech students through their externships and has onboarded several doctors. Dr. O’Brien and her husband live in the Charlotte area with their two daughters. They share their home with three rescued Afghan Hounds and a lazy cat.
