Barbara grew up surrounded by a variety of animals, including dogs, birds, ferrets, rabbits, ducks, geese, quail, and other pets, and was influenced by two uncles who were veterinarians. With close to 30 years of experience in the veterinary field, she began her career as a kennel assistant and progressed to a veterinary assistant before attending Veterinary Technician school. Her passion for the hands-on aspects of the profession, particularly nursing care, motivated her decision to become a veterinary technician.
