New Year’s resolutions for you and your pet

Happy New Year! It’s that time again to think about your goals, dreams, and wishes for another year. Why not include your little cutie in the fun? We’ve got some pet-inspired resolutions to help you get started.

Prioritize preventive care

A new year means thinking about which doc appointments to schedule for yourself. Don’t forget to schedule one for your lovebug too! Preventive care for pets is important, and here at Banfield we love helping pets stay healthy and happy

Go for a walk

If being physically active in 2023 is your goal, why not bring your doggo along? With obesity on the rise in pets, staying active is important. Plus, getting out of the house can help keep boredom at bay.

Do some yoga

Yoga is a big resolution for many of us, and while our pets can’t exactly do the warrior pose, they often like to hang out while we get our stretching on. Include your pet in your yoga to make your routine even more fun and adorable.

Eating healthy

It’s never too late to rethink eating habits not only for you, but also your pet. What you feed your BFF is important for their health. (*Ahem—scrap the table scraps.) For guidance, check out our helpful diet and nutrition page and ask your veterinary team for any recommendations.

Travel more

Many people put traveling on their resolution list, and the good news is hotels and airlines are more pet-friendly than ever. Before hitting the road with your pet, it’s important to do your research or call ahead for details. For advice on how to travel safely with your pet, we’ve got some helpful tips

Spend more time with the people and animals you love

Adult things like work and responsibilities often bring on a lot of stress, and it’s important to remember the good in your life, like the people and animals you love. Spend some time with your favorite furball, whether it's playing fetch, going for a walk, or just sitting by them on the couch. We promise you won’t regret it.
