    Dr. Jo Ellen Schielke


    Dr. Schielke has provided caring veterinary medical and surgical support for the past 20 years through biomedical research, primarily at the Washington National Primate Research Center and at a Contract Research Organization working with nonhuman primates, dogs, swine, rabbits and rodents in the support of drug safety and development. She worked in the field of emergency veterinary medicine before joining the Banfield family in 2018 where she is happy to provide compassionate and quality veterinary care for her patients. She is originally from Michigan and graduated from Colorado State University in 1990 where she earned her degree. Dr. Schielke has lived in Washington state since 1993 and has done volunteer work for community outreach programs. In her free time, she enjoys family activities including her son's hockey games, hiking, home improvement projects and cooking, enjoys raising her son and spending time with their Labrador-mix, Whylie, and cat, Boomer.     Practice Manager

    Wade began working for Banfield in January, 2011 as a kennel attendent. Through on the job experience, he progressed in the field and worked at a training hospital where he assisted with the training of over 30+ DVM and 100+ veterinary assistants. With deep passion for the wellbeing of pets he was provided an opportunity to lead his own team at the Bothell location in September 2018. Wade spends his free time reading, hiking with his partner, caring for his Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog along with his Orange Tabby and Siamese Cats. More Details >>

    Dr. Erica Paxton


    Dr. Paxton grew up in Bossier City, LA, and is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a one year rotating internship at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford, TX. Dr. Paxton moved to Northern California following her internship and worked in Sacramento as well as working in a mixed animal practice prior to joining the team at Banfield. Her professional interests include surgery and ophthalmology. She loves working with all creatures large and small, and is committed to strengthening the human-animal bond through preventive medicine.
