    Dr. Alexis Whitted


    Dr. Whitted moved to Virginia from Colorado, and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Colorado College receiving her bachelor's degree in biology. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University and performed her clinical rotations at University of Maryland Virginia Tech Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.     Dr. Julie Dawson received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Westminster College in 2006. She then went on to study at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010. After spending three years as a farm animal veterinarian, she decided to give city living a try. In her spare time, Dr. Dawson enjoys hiking and wine tasting. More Details >>

    Dr. Courtney Jacobs grew up in Central Maryland and received her Bachelor of Science degree in animal and poultry science from Virginia Tech. She has since received her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, United Kingdom. She is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and in her spare time, Dr. Jacobs enjoys baking, hanging out with her fiancé, and giving her hound mix, Murphy, belly rubs.     Practice Manager

    Emily graduated with a bachelor's degree in english, concentrating on non-fiction writing and rhetoric, and minoring in public policy and management, from George Mason University in 2012. She began working with Banfield in 2012 at the Falls Church location, where she started as a Veterinary Assistant and was promoted to Shift Lead. Emily transferred to the South Alexandria location in August of 2015, and was promoted to Practice Manager in November of 2015. She enjoys spending time with her 3 pets: Murphy, a pit bull/dachshund mix; Clancy, a mix breed cat; and Dapper, a Flemish giant rabbit. Emily also enjoys swimming, spending time with family, and all things outdoors, including hiking, biking, camping, and archery. More Details >>

    Kevin Larios

    Shift Lead

    Kevin graduated with an associate's degree in liberal arts from NVCC in 2013, when he began working at Banfield as a Pet Care Assistant. Finding his passion, Kevin has grown with the company becoming a Veterinary Assistant, and was recently promoted to Shift Lead. He is completing his first semester in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program, and prides himself in his quality care for all of his patients. Kevin's interests include preventive care, complicated medical cases, and emergency medicine. He enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family, and playing with his 3 dogs. More Details >>
