    Dr. Joshua Davis

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Davis graduated with his veterinary degree from Washington State University in 2009 and since that time, he has enjoyed working in many roles within the Utah Banfield hospitals. He enjoys coaching and mentoring new and experienced doctors to help them unlock their potential, and his veterinary interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, client communication, and associate development. He strongly believes in providing the best medical care to pets and the best education and communication to clients. Dr. Davis is a Utah native and an avid outdoor enthusiast with hobbies including skiing, snowboarding, mountain and road biking, motorcycle touring, and hiking. He truly believes there is no better state than Utah for its variety of geography and opportunities to see something new. He currently resides in Salt Lake City with his wife and cats.     Dr. Kathleen Muckenhirn

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Muckenhirn grew up mainly in Texas and Georgia, and fell in love with the Rockies when she was at the Air Force Academy in Colorado for undergrad. She majored in biology for 3 years before shoulder injuries led her to a very early retirement but finished her last year at the University of Connecticut with a B.S. degree in animal science. She then moved to Prince Edward Island (Canada, eh?) to attend the Atlantic Veterinary College. Dr. Muckenhirn has a border collie cross, Xena, a cat named Kyra, 2 bunnies, Einstein and Marie Curie, and a parrotlet named Petri. She used to horseback ride and now enjoys hiking and camping, reading, especially fantasy and fiction, and is a huge movie buff. Her professional interests include behavior, exotics, and integrative medicine, especially acupuncture and chiropractics. More Details >>

    Dr. Taylor Hatton

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Hatton was born and raised in Taylorsville, Utah, and graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in bioveterinary sciences. He attended a veterinary school program with Utah State University for the first 2 years and then spent the remaining years at Washington State University. Dr. Hatton enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids and when he has time, enjoys playing and watching sports, being in the outdoors camping and fishing, and watching movies. More Details >>

    Sebastian Castro

    Practice Manager

    Sebastian graduated from the University of Vermont in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in psychology. He started working for Banfield as a veterinary assistant in 2014 after moving to Austin, TX and eventually became a shift lead. After spending two years consuming hundreds of breakfast tacos, Sebastian traded the heat of the south for the mountains of the west and moved to SLC. After being a shift lead in the north location for a year, he's excited to expand his knowledge and get to know the American fork team in his new position as practice manager. More Details >>
