    Dr. Stefanie Basciano

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Basciano received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. She then traveled throughout the Caribbean and graduated Magna Cum Laude from veterinary school at St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada, West Indies. Her clinical rotations were completed at North Carolina State University. She previously lived in the surrounding NYC metro area and gained experience and mentorship at a large 24hr hybrid emergency and general practice. She is thrilled to be back in the beautiful Hudson Valley and Catskills where she grew up. She enjoys practicing veterinary medicine with an emphasis on internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, and preventive care.     Practice Manager

    Dawne has been with Banfield since 2009 and the Practice Manager since 2011. She is a licensed veterinary technician, having obtained her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Ulster, her B.S. degree in biology from SUNY New Paltz and her M.S. degree in biology from the University of Saint Joseph, CT. Dawne’s interests include clinical pathology and cellular biology. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and fine dining. When Danielle is not a work, she spends her time competitively horse showing across the country. Her pets, a large Doberman pinscher and a tiny rat terrier, always travel with her.
