    Dr. Valerie DiColandrea


    Dr. Valerie DiColandrea has been a veterinarian with Banfield since 2011. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her medical interests include soft tissue surgery, preventive medicine, cardiology and exotic companion animal medicine. She and her husband reside in Raleigh, and are busy parents to twins, plus an older sibling and two rescue dogs!     Dr. Amanda Newton


    Dr. Amanda Newton is a native of Yonkers, NY. She completed her undergraduate degree in animal science at Clemson University in 2008 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NC State University in 2012. Dr. Newton currently resides in Durham with her husband, daughter, 3 cats - Mason, Beau, and Smush (a fluffy white Persian kitty!), 1 dog - a labradoodle named Dixie Belle, and an African grey parrot named Snuggles. When she is not taking care of Banfield's fluffy friends, she can be found riding her horse, Lucky. She and her husband also love to travel and spend time with their family and friends.     Dr. Laks has been practicing veterinary medicine here in Raleigh for over 3 years, with her primary focus and passion being in small animal medicine. Her core concentration is in surgical procedures. Dr. Laks has a beautiful family which includes children and animals. More Details >>

    Dr. Danielle Nickens


    Dr. Danielle Nickens completed her undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology before receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in St. Kitts. She has been with Banfield since 2013. Dr. Nickens’ special interests include preventive medicine and soft tissue surgery. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, two children, and Labrador retriever.
