    Dr. Elizabeth Gunderson
    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Liz Gunderson received her undergraduate degree in biology from Hamline University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Gunderson has special interests in dentistry, internal medicine, and caring for geriatric pets. She lives with her husband, Sam, and two dogs, Susie, a shy golden retriever, and Atticus, a spirited Pomeranian.     Dr. Angie received her veterinary degree from Iowa State University in 2008. She practiced at Banfield hospitals in Colorado and Ohio before moving to Minnesota and joining the St. Louis Park Banfield hospital in 2012.     Dr. Meyer is a 2015 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up on a farm in New Ulm, Minnesota, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2011. She was active in 4-H and enjoyed showing horses competitively during her childhood. Throughout her education she has studied animal medicine in Italy, Thailand, and Costa Rica. Her special interests include surgery, dentistry, and dermatology.     Dr. Birkeland joined Banfield in May of 2017. She is a Twin Cities native, where she grew up always enjoying camping, dancing for the last 20 years, playing the violin, and snowboarding. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 where she emphasized her studies in small and companion animals. She earned an animal science degree from Iowa State University in 2013.     Dr. Kolander is a 2013 graduate of St George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her clinical year at the University of Florida, she started her career with Banfield in Spring Hill, Fl. After working there for 2 1/2 years, she relocated to her home state of Minnesota and has been employed at this location ever since. Her professional interests include dermatology and dentistry.
