Dr. Jennifer Calvert
Chief of Staff
Dr. Calvert graduated from Wichita State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and then went on to obtain her DVM from Kansas State University in 2010. She resides in Wichita with her husband, Tony, daughter, Eowyn, three dogs, Kenobi, Kelevra, and Arya, and three cats, Gandalf, Garfunkel, and Karma. Her favorite part of her job is new puppy/kitten appointments, getting to know clients, and working along side her dedicated staff. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching her favorite sporting teams, and many outdoor activities.

Dr. Kassey Van Gieson
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Van Gieson graduated from Kansas State University in 2012. Prior to joining Banfield in 2014, she worked in emergency medicine. Some of Dr. Van Gieson's professional interests include soft tissue surgery, chronic and acute pain management, and exotic medicine. In her off-time, Dr. Van Gieson enjoys spending time with her husband of 12 years and her energetic young son. In addition to her husband and son, their family also includes an English Mastiff named Bella, a labrador/St. Bernard mix named Moose, and a tank full of freshwater fish.

Dr. Amanda Brenske
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Brenske graduated from the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland after receiving her bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 2009. She is new to Kansas, but has lived a number of years in the Midwest. She likes to experience different parts of the country and has lived along the east coast as well. Her professional interests include a passion for dental care and working with small exotic creatures, but she loves and adores her regular cat and dog patients as well. Dr. Brenske resides in Wichita with her dog, Kuiper, and her 1.75 cats, Belle and Oscar. She enjoys crafting, reading and traveling in her free time.

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Scad graduated from Kansas State University in 2013 with a bachelor's in animal science and industry and continued at Kansas State to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017. She now resides in Valley Center with her two cats, Sebastian and Beerus. Her greatest professional passions are caring for shelter animals, soft tissue surgery, and animal nutrition. In her time away from the hospital, Dr. Scad enjoys running, crafting, spending time with friends and family, and watching nerdy television shows.

Practice Manager
Sara graduated from Kansas State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness. She has worked in veterinary clinics for over 8 years and has been a Practice Manager since 2013. She lives in Haysville with her two dogs, Cowboy and Izzy, and two cats, Todd and Tyson.
