Her medical interests include primary care education and services, behavior consults, and dentistry. She lives with her husband, who is also a veterinarian, in Chicago with their 3 pets, an 8 year old Australian Shepherd, 14 year old German Shepherd, and 12 year old Domestic Shorthair cat.     Certified Veterinary Technician Ash Cruz graduated from The Vet tech Institute in 2013 after serving in the United States Air Force. Ash initially began her career working shelter medicine but after working for Banfield since 2019 and has found her niche in preventive medicine. Ash has a 3 year old son, a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix named Scooby and a cat named Wilbur.     Leann Powers received her Veterinary Technician license after graduating from Fox College in 2015. She was promoted to Shift Lead in 2017 and was then promoted to her current position as Practice Manager in 2018. Leann takes a special interest in preventive care for pets to promote healthier longer lives with their family members. She has one Siberian Husky at home, and more to come!     Jess studied Animal Science at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana for 4 years before going on to graduate from the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College and obtain her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2016. She has worked in the veterinary field for the last ten years and joined the Banfield team in late 2018. Jess and her fiancé Dominic live with their three pets: Luna, a three year old pit bull; Sabi, a nine year old tabby cat; and Cousin Finny, a beta fish.
