    Dr. Brianna Welch

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Brianna Welch grew up in North County San Diego. She received her undergraduate degree in molecular cellular biology from California State University San Marcos and her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Ross University. Dr. Welch worked in private practice for a year before joining Banfield Pet Hospital in 2013. Dr. Welch has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry. When she isn't working she can be spotted at the park or beach with her husband and son. She enjoys travelling to other countries, brewing beer, (attempting) to play volleyball, golf and soccer, and playing with her pets; Devereaux (a 6-year-old mixed breed dog), Duke and Fitz (3-year-old domestic short hair cats).     Dr. Tara Barrera

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Tara Barrera grew up right here in Southern Orange County! She received her undergraduate degree in animal sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and her doctorate in veterinary medicine from UC Davis in 2011. Dr. Barrera practiced large and mixed animal medicine for a year in Canada after her graduation and migrated back home late 2012. She has worked at the San Juan Capistrano location for almost 3 years. Outside of work, her interests include being newly married to her husband David, serving at her local church in Aliso Viejo, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her 3 dogs, 2 cats, at 25 leopard geckos (and counting!).     Dr. Mark Witt

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Mark Witt was born and raised in a very small town in Southwestern Montana. Following high school, Mark received a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University followed by his doctor of veterinary medicine from Washington State University in 2014. After veterinary school, Dr. Witt worked in private practice in Escondido, and joined the Banfield family 1 year later. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Witt enjoys sunny San Diego with his wife, Jen (also a veterinarian working with Banfield) and their 3 cats (Puck, Spaz, and Rio) and dog (Mya).
