• Why does my cat vomit more frequently when I am out of town? My cat (a Japanese bobtail mix) is typically fine when I am home. However, when I leave for an extended period of time and have to have someone come in and feed her, the cat-sitter more often than not finds brown, chunky vomit on the floor or on my bed when they come in to feed her. For reference, my cat eats dry food (currently a grain-free variety).

    Hi Robyn,
I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian. Chronic vomiting in cats is concerning and can be caused by a few different issues. Stress can often cause underlying issues to emerge in cats, so the stress of you leaving can cause it to happen more often. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the vomiting and the treatment that she needs after they have examined her.
