• What over-the-counter anti-anxiety medications do you recommend for dogs who are terrified during lightening/thunderstorms? My vet mentioned it during our last appt, but I forgot to write the names down.

    Hi Amy,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this. There are some medications that can be used to help for noise/storm phobia. The one that will work best for your pet can depend on your pet’s age, breed, weight, and overall health. Your vet knows your pet and they will be able to give you the best advice on this. Depending on your pet’s unique response the medication may be something that you can get over the counter but many of these medications will require a prescription.
